In the context of the Silver Cyclists project, the 7 involved partners have developed a set of bookable offers aimed at senior cyclists. The 16 pilots from 5 different countries use the EuroVelo network as a backbone, going on the EuroVelo 8, 10, 13 and 15 routes.
Under the coordination of the lead partner, Danish Cycling Tourism, the work package 3 has set out the goal of developing and implementing 5 bookable pilots aimed at senior cyclists. In doing so, the project will benefit SMEs across Europe that are directly involved with active tourism (e.g. tour operators, cycle hire) and/or which are located close to the EuroVelo routes (e.g. hotels, cafes). With 16 pilots being implemented in the end, the project has far exceeded this goal.
The next steps of the project, under the lead of project partner Romantischer Rhein, included in the work package 4, include the promotion campaign of these pilots, in order to reach a wider audience. The pilots have been included on the Silver Cyclists website and displayed in an easy to use map, displaying the essential informations of each offer: description, price, contacts and links, as well as GPS tracks for most of the offers.
You can find the map and the bookable offers on the Silver Cyclists website here.
